The Distinguished Trustee Award was established by the United Hospital Fund in 1991 to publicly recognize extraordinary service, philanthropic support and leadership, and deep commitment to the voluntary spirit of the New York region's hospital system. By supporting and promoting the enormous contributions and achievements of individual trustees, the United Hospital Fund hopes to nourish this vital tradition. The Fund's goal is to honor one trustee annually from hospitals across the metropolitan region.
Michelle Rider will be recognized on Monday, May 9th at The Tribute to Hospital Trustees held at The Waldorf-Astoria. The Tribute to Hospital Trustees is an important annual event that recognizes outstanding individual contributions to hospitals and highlights trusteeship as a vital form of voluntarism.
