Spring Update: FinCEN Beneficial Ownership Information filing (UPDATED 3/2025)

**TO ALL CMR CLIENTS**

As of March 21, 2025, the U.S. Department of Treasury issued an interim final rule regarding the FinCEN Beneficial Ownership Information filing. All companies formed in the United States are now exempt from the beneficial owner reporting requirements. According to this latest rule, the only companies that are required to report their beneficial owner information are foreign companies (companies not formed in the United States but operating in the United States).
