Christopher J. Whitton Special Counsel

Christopher J. Whitton joined Catania, Mahon & Rider, PLLC as Special Counsel in June 2023. Christopher is an accomplished trial lawyer with 30 years of experience representing clients in state and federal court.  He litigates complex medical liability matters on behalf of health care providers and institutions as well as general liability matters defending claims in construction, premises, product, and trucking/transportation industries.  He handles matters from inception through resolution, having secured numerous defense verdicts and favorable settlements for his clients.  Christopher’s successful strategies and responsiveness to his clients’ needs often lead to long-term relationships.

Before joining Catania, Mahon & Rider, Christopher was a partner at a highly regarded New York personal injury defense firm representing various health care professionals and institutions, construction, industrial, trucking, and bus companies as well as local and national premise and business owners.
